Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the influence of vocabulary proficiency and learning interest on narrative texts writing skills in junior high school students in Sukabumi Regency. The researcher utilized a survey and regression analysis. It can be inferred that: (1) There is a significant result influence of vocabulary mastery and learning interest on writing skills in narrative text , it is confirmed that the value of sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 and F count = 56.089. (2) There is a significant result influence of vocabulary proficiency narrative texts writing skills. That the value of sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 and t count = 5.840. (3) There is a significant effect of learning interest on narrative texts writing skills. It is confirmed that the value of sig. = 0.000 < 0.05 and t count = 3.881.
